Yoga is a timeless pragmatic science that was developed several thousand years ago by the great yogis of India. A systematic yoga practice provides both good health and peace of mind and strengthens the spiritual consciousness. According to the yogic tradition, a full training takes 12 years. However, in today's world this has become impossible to devote so much time to such training.
In the last 22 years, Yoga Acharya Sri Sivan Namboothiri, has successfully trained more than 1,000 yoga teachers, regardless of their age, origin and background. This Y.T.T.C. is the 16th course in Berlin and the 31 th to be held under his leadership in its entirety.
The 12-months training course covers all major paths of yoga. The focus of this Y.T.T.C. is in the field of Hatha Yoga. In addition to the more than 100 asanas (postures) taught, kriyas, pranayama, bandhas and mudras are also part of the curriculum. Furthermore, it also includes the teaching of yoga philosophy, such as Raja Yoga Sutras and Vedanta, as well as practical Hatha Yoga teaching techniques, assistance, correction of postures, the therapeutic properties of yoga, human anatomy, and Sanskrit mantras. All participants will gain a comprehensive knowledge of yoga, both in theory and in practice.
Most participants who have taken the YTTC in recent years, are working successfully as a yoga teachers.
Upon successful completion of the training course, participants will receive the "Yoga Ratna Certificate", which allows them to work as a yoga teacher.
